Brujeria se formó en una fiesta a manera de banda de broma, en el año 1989, época en la cual existía gran discriminación hacia los metaleros latinoamericanos en los conciertos de metal en la escena del heavy metal Además, la mayoría de los grupos extremos de la zona cantaban en inglés, por lo cual sus fundadores decidieron crear una banda de grindcore y death metal que representara a la comunidad hispana, con letras explícitas y en español. Sus integrantes, el guitarrista Asesino (Dino Cazares), el Director Diabólico "Jr Hozicon" (Jello Biafra), el batería Fantasma (Pat Hoed), el bajista Guero sin Fe (Billy Gould) y el vocalista Juan Brujo (John Lepe), utilizaron seudónimos ya que la mayoría de ellos eran miembros de otros conocidos grupos de metal. La banda fue criticada desde sus inicios a causa de sus letras sobre narcotráfico,sexo y satanismo. Lo anterior es debido a que el concepto principal de la banda fue inspirado por la historia que horrorizó a México y al mundo el 11 de abril de 1989 en el Rancho Santa Elena, en Matamoros, ya que fue el lugar donde hubo operaciones satánicas por parte del narcotráfico para que su actividad ilícita pasara inadvertida por las autoridades y para ello realizaban sacrificios humanos en ritos y misas negras.

Blood Red Throne es una banda de Death Metal formada en Kristiansand, Noruega en 1998. En el año 2003, Blood Red Throne lanza un Split con la banda de Brutal Death Metal Severe Torture, A Taste For Butchery, título que combina el nombre del EP de Blood Red Throne A Taste For Blood y el EP de Severe Torture Butchery Of The Soul.

El 23 de Abril del 2010, Blood Red Throne anunció a través de su MySpace que el guitarrista Tchort dejo la banda debido a "compromisos familiares" y será reemplazado por Ivan "MeathooK" Gujic de Neongod para terminar el resto de la gira de ese año.

La banda fue fundada en 1993, pero sus orígenes se remontan hacia 1983; cuando Galder Aldrahn Jardar eran miembros de la banda de death metal/thrash metal Requiem. Después la banda Requiem cambia su nombre y es ahí cuando se forma Old Man's Child. Desde 1993 la banda ha cambiado en todos sus integrantes excepto Galder (antes llamado Grusom) quien ha permanecido desde que la banda se fundó.

El nombre de la banda; "Old Man's Child" hace referencia a "El Hijo Del Diablo".
